Getting Started with Ledger: Your Simple Setup Guide

Follow these steps to begin securing your crypto with a Ledger device.

1. Unbox Your Ledger Wallet

Your package should include:

• A Ledger device (Nano S Plus or Nano X).

• A USB cable for connecting to your computer or mobile device.

• Recovery sheets for securely storing your recovery phrase.

• A user manual for additional guidance.

2. Visit Ledger.com/start

Open your web browser and go to Ledger.com/start. This page will guide you to download the Ledger Live app and provide you with detailed setup instructions.

3. Download Ledger Live

Ledger Live is the official app for managing your Ledger wallet and cryptocurrencies. It’s compatible with Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android.

• Download the app for your device from the Ledger website.

• Install and launch the app to begin the setup process.

4. Connect Your Ledger Device

Using the provided USB cable, connect your Ledger device to your computer or mobile device. If you’re using the Nano X, you can also connect via Bluetooth.

5. Install Firmware

Your Ledger device will prompt you to install the latest firmware. Keeping your firmware updated ensures your device is secure and functional. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

6. Set Up Your Wallet

• Create a New Wallet: If this is your first time, select this option to generate a new wallet.

• Secure Your Recovery Phrase: Your Ledger device will display a 24-word recovery phrase. Write this down on the recovery sheets provided in the box.

  • Never store your recovery phrase online or share it with anyone.

  • Keep it in a safe and secure location.

7. Set a PIN Code

Set up a PIN code to add an additional layer of protection. This PIN will be required to access your Ledger device.
